I just got a tip from Techie Diva's Guide to Gadgets on the Macally mTUNE-N Cordless Stereo Headset for the iPod nano (phew, that was a mouthful). We all know that standard earbuds just don't produce enough sound or bass. And, if you're like me, who needs to escape from background noise while on the train (and at the office) this nifty headset will do the trick.

Of course, I don't have a nano yet (I'll just wait until my iPod mini dies, knock on wood), but it also has a 3.5mm jack for your computer, CD player, or other music player. What's different from this headset is the fact that it's hands-free: simply insert your nano into the slot (as you can see from the picture) and control the click wheel from there. It's also collapsible for storage virtually anywhere and no battery is required.

Must we always be locked into a keyboard and mouse when gaming on the computer? Well, I guess somebody thought of something smart this time.  Microsoft is bringing a game controller to a PC near you. It's not just any regular controller though, it's the long-anticipated Xbox 360 controller.

My wife and I have two arguments when we get in the car for road trip. First, whose MP3 player will we listen to? (She usually wins this one, but I reserve the right to skip tracks if Deee-Lite comes on.) Second, whose job is it to remember the FM tuner so we can play songs on the car's stereo?

I have been using a first generation FM tuner from Belkin for years, but the company has a new model coming out at the end of the month, the TuneCast Auto for iPod ($59.99), which offers a host of improvements including a backlit display, compatibility with the latest 5G models, and programmable memory slots that let you toggle between two channels. Better still, the unit charges itself by connecting to your car's cigarette lighter outlet. Hopefully, we will make it all the way to my Dad's house for Thanksgiving this year without suffering the indignity of terrestrial radio.

Or worse, silence.

This bluetooth-enabled U6 PEBL phone may not be as cool as the RAZRs, but it does have a catchy "mineral" name, and is even smooth to the touch. Think of it as Motorola meets Pebbles Flintstone, although it talks more.

The PEBL is round and much thicker than the RAZR, and when you open the phone, a very shiny keypad is revealed. It operates through the T-Mobile network with good reception and clear voice. What differentiates the PEBL from the RAZR is its speaker voice commands and, of course, its unusual but unique design.
